The two brick buildings, built in 1831 by Lafitte's fierce captain Rene Beluche, have been completely restored, and living areas have been elegantly furnished. Nestled in the residential area of the French Quarter, Jean Lafitte House provides a quiet spot to swim, soak in the whirlpool, and relax before exploring the rambunctious streets of the Quarter.
